Just 4 stops from North Station on the Orange Line and just off I-93, the Malden Gaming District is a new kind of entertainment district built around the simple human need to play. Anchored by Boda Boga (a minigame arcade of various challenges), the District has become home to numerous attractions, events, and clubs featuring:
By Public Transit: The Malden Gaming district is directly adjacent to Malden Center Station – serviced by the Haverhill commuter rail line, the MBTA Orange Line, the Encore casino shuttle bus, and MBTA bus lines #97, #99, #101, #104, #105, #106, #108, #131, #132, #137, #411, and #430. There is also secured Charlie Card bike storage, and an area for taxi / ride share pickup and dropoff.
By Vehicle: Malden is located just off I-93, about 4 miles north of Boston. The Gaming District offers plenty of street parking, a paid surface level lot, and multiple public parking garages, with the Central Business District (CBD) Garage being managed by the city and the most centrally located. City-managed parking is usually free after 7pm, all day on Sundays, and on other select dates and times.
The MGD was founded by and continues to be supported by the office of Malden Mayor Gary Christenson. The city makes it easy to get a business open in the district by providing a single point of contact, connections to building owners, and expedited inspection and licensing processes.
